**Sponsored profile — disclosure.** Addepto commissioned this profile. Sponsorship paid for the assignment, not the conclusions: every claim was checked against independent records before publication, anything that could not be confirmed independently is labelled self-reported, and the company was offered the opportunity to respond with third-party evidence before the final version. Our [editorial policy](/editorial/editorial-policy) and [corrections policy](/editorial/corrections-policy) apply in full.

**In short:**Addepto is a Warsaw data-and-AI consultancy founded in 2018 and acquired by Atlanta-based KMS Technology on 18 December 2025 for undisclosed terms. Independent records confirm the deal, its FT1000 and Deloitte growth rankings and its Clutch rating; most of its client names and outcome figures remain self-reported.

[Addepto](https://addepto.com/) is a Warsaw data-engineering and applied-AI consultancy founded in 2018 and, since 18 December 2025, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based KMS Technology. It builds production data platforms and machine-learning systems for mid-market and enterprise clients, holds independently confirmed positions on the FT1000 and two Deloitte growth rankings, and carries a 4.9-out-of-5 rating across 18 verified Clutch reviews. Every claim below is labelled by what an independent source shows; where the only evidence is the company's own material, it is labelled **self-reported**.

## What does Addepto actually do?

Addepto Sp. z o.o. is a data-engineering and applied-AI consultancy registered in Warsaw. The Polish National Court Register (KRS 0000729066) records its incorporation on 23 April 2018 at ul. Świeradowska 47 in the Mokotów district, with share capital of 10,000 PLN — details independently visible on registry aggregators such as [ALEO](https://aleo.com/int/company/addepto-sp-z-oo-warszawa).

The work clusters around data platforms and machine learning rather than boardroom strategy: Databricks and lakehouse engineering, demand forecasting, computer vision, digital twins, and retrieval over technical documentation. The firm also publishes a product, ContextClue, an AI knowledge assistant for engineering teams. ContextClue is real and publicly visible — it has its own site and a 2023 Product Hunt listing — but the open-source framing needs a qualifier: the core platform is commercial, and what is published under an MIT licence are two auxiliary tools, a graph builder and [ContextCheck](https://github.com/Addepto/contextcheck), a testing framework for language models and retrieval systems carrying roughly 96 stars.

Two independent signals place the firm inside the wider AI-services market. Matt Turck and FirstMark's [MAD Landscape](https://www.mattturck.com/landscape/mad2024.pdf) includes Addepto in its Data & AI Consulting category in both the 2023 and 2024 editions, which anyone can confirm by opening the landscape PDFs. And a 2022 Forbes column by Bernard Marr named Addepto among [ten AI consulting firms](https://www.forbes.com/sites/bernardmarr/2022/08/17/what-are-the-10-best-ai-consulting-firms/), ninth on a list otherwise composed of Capgemini, EY, IBM, BCG and McKinsey. The piece is contributor-network editorial rather than Forbes staff reporting — relevant context for the company's recommended-by-Forbes shorthand.

## Who owns Addepto now, and who runs it?

Addepto was founded by two engineers, Artur Haponik and Edwin Lisowski. The register lists both as the company's original shareholders at incorporation in April 2018, holding fifty shares each.

Ownership has changed twice since. In 2021, Grape Up Sp. z o.o. took a 51% stake. Then, on 18 December 2025, KMS Technology acquired the company. The date and the fact of the deal are confirmed by four sources with no reason to flatter either party: the M&A tracker [Tracxn](https://tracxn.com/d/insights/merger-acquisition-deals-brief/kms-technology-acquires-addepto/__h7eFPt8Gj5B231VPrWK-CirzKm5GRss9fNbdFNWArXo), PitchBook's deal record, the transaction page of [Canaccord Genuity](https://www.canaccordgenuity.com/capital-markets/transactions/2025/december/addepto_dec2025/), which ran the sale as Addepto's exclusive financial adviser, and a client alert from [Choate Hall & Stewart](https://www.choate.com/insights/choate-represents-sunstone-partners-portfolio-company-kms-technology-in-acquisition-of-addepto/), outside counsel on the buy side. No purchase price has been disclosed anywhere, by anyone.

KMS Technology is an Atlanta-headquartered digital-engineering, data and AI firm founded in 2009, with delivery centres in Vietnam and Mexico, and it is a portfolio company of Sunstone Partners, a growth private-equity firm founded in 2015 with roughly $1.7 billion of committed capital across its first three funds. Sunstone's strategic investment in KMS closed in November 2024. Tracxn's deal brief calls this KMS's twenty-fourth acquisition of 2025 — a count no second source corroborates. The same tracker's employee history for KMS shows growth from 54 people in late 2022 to more than 1,900 by spring 2026.

Public materials — Haponik's LinkedIn, the company's about page, press coverage — describe him as chief executive and co-founder. On the Polish legal entity, the most recent registry filing lists him as *Wiceprezes Zarządu*, vice-president of the management board. The president is Leo Tucker, with Luis Pereira as a third board member, and the shareholder of record is a holding vehicle named W022 Sp. z o.o. Both can be true at once: an operating chief-executive title alongside a different statutory officer role after an acquisition.

## What checks out, and what is only self-reported?

The growth rankings are published as data and can be checked line by line. Addepto appears at rank 128 of the Financial Times and Statista FT1000 for 2024 — Poland, IT & Software — with absolute three-year revenue growth of 1,310.7%, a compound annual rate of 141.6%, revenue rising from €262,600 in 2019 to about €3.35 million in 2022, and headcount from 15 to 40. Rank 128 is the overall position across all 1,000 companies and every sector, not a within-category placing. Deloitte's reports are equally checkable: Addepto sits at #143 in the [2023 EMEA Technology Fast 500](https://www.deloitte.com/content/dam/assets-zone2/cz-sk/sk/docs/about/2025/technology-fast-50/emea-tech-fast500-report-2023.pdf) with 1,193% growth, and at #20 in the 2023 Technology Fast 50 for Central Europe on the same figure. Notably, the company's own awards page understates both entries, listing the ranks without the growth numbers.

The client roster is harder to verify. Addepto publishes named case studies for SITA, the aviation IT provider, and for ClevAir, a Norwegian building-energy firm, and both are detailed and technically specific. Neither client says so publicly: searches of SITA's own site, press room and social channels found no mention of Addepto, and ClevAir's company page likewise never names it. The one engagement with genuine outside confirmation is a 2020 demand-forecasting project for the Polish parcel operator InPost, corroborated by a dated [Clutch](https://clutch.co/profile/addepto) review from a named sales-analysis manager at Integer S.A., InPost's parent. Everything else in the case-study library — the 70% Databricks saving for an unnamed European fashion retailer, the fraud-detection platform for the Association of Issuing Bodies, the automotive virtual-commissioning and CAD-standardisation work — rests on the company's word alone.

## What do clients and employees actually say?

Clutch is the one review surface that could be read directly. The live profile carries an overall 4.9 out of 5 across 18 verified reviews, with sub-scores of 4.9 for quality, schedule and cost, and 4.7 for willingness to refer. The recurring praise is about bridging technical depth and business relevance, communication, and value for money. The criticism is mild but real: one client wanted more involvement in architectural decisions, another wished the team were readier to accept a good-enough-for-now solution, and an earlier engagement drew markedly lower quality and schedule scores over early delivery problems the firm later remediated. Six of the eighteen reviews date from 2019 to 2021, so the sample is not entirely current.

Employee sentiment is thinner. Glassdoor snapshots suggest an overall 4.6 out of 5 from around 14 ratings, with compensation and benefits at 4.2 and every surfaced review positive. That reads well but should be weighted lightly: the page returns an error to automated retrieval, snapshot counts varied between five, 13 and 14 across crawls, and a base that small is not a reliable signal in either direction. Similarly named entities, including a separate US staffing firm called Addepto IT Solutions, muddy any search further.

Nothing adverse surfaced. Polish-language searches for lawsuits, disputes and layoffs returned nothing, and the official Polish court gazette shows only routine financial-statement and board-composition filings against KRS 0000729066. The same sweep on the KMS side found nothing.

## What did not check out?

Three items failed independent checks outright. First, a claim circulating in secondary coverage that Addepto placed #128 on the FT1000 in 2026 is wrong: the company does not appear anywhere in that year's list of 1,000, and rank 128 in the 2026 edition belongs to an unrelated UK logistics business. Addepto's own materials only ever cite the 2024 result, which is real — the 2026 framing appears to be a date error introduced downstream.

Second, the line repeated on several Addepto service pages that the firm ranks among the top business-intelligence and big-data consultants in Los Angeles on Clutch is not supported by Clutch's current Los Angeles leaders matrix or its business-intelligence directory, neither of which lists the company. Clutch rankings refresh, so a past listing cannot be ruled out; Addepto does list a Los Angeles address for its US entity, though no staffed office there could be confirmed.

Third, two client names, Volvo and KPMG, appear attached to Addepto only in a pair of near-identical, unsourced round-up articles. Neither name appears in any Addepto case study or in any trusted-by list the company itself publishes; Addepto's own blog in fact attributes Volvo to a competitor, Miquido. Both should be treated as unsupported.

## What are the honest limitations?

Scale is the first. Independent trackers converge: PitchBook lists 72 employees, LeadIQ roughly 78 as of July 2026 and Tracxn 80 as of June 2026 — a tight, convergent band inside LinkedIn's 51-to-200 bracket and Clutch's 50-to-249, with Clutch showing the Warsaw office itself at 50 to 75. Older directories still scatter from 25 to 200, the registry-filed employment figure sits behind paywalled data, and a Forbes Polska interview put the team at about 50 in October 2024, so roughly 72 to 80 is a mid-2026 snapshot. Whatever the exact figure, this is a boutique. Polish peers illustrate the gap: STX Next states more than 500 engineers, deepsense.ai around 120 experts, and Netguru has been building since 2008. Addepto is closest in size to deepsense.ai and nowhere near the delivery benches of the global firms it is often listed beside.

The second is margin. Registry filings show revenue rising from 4.0 million PLN in 2021 to 15.8 million in 2022 and 19.6 million in 2023, a 24.6% gain in the final year. But net profit roughly halved over that same last step, from 2.2 million PLN to 1.0 million, and EBITDA fell from 2.9 million to 1.6 million. Growth continued; profitability compressed in the year before the sale. No company or buyer material mentions it.

The third is integration. Several of the flagship case studies now published under the Addepto name state on their own pages that the work was delivered by KMS Technology before the merger — the clinical-trial testing programme, the $100 million product-delivery claim, the behavioural-health platform. That is disclosed rather than hidden, but the portfolio a prospective buyer sees today is a merged one, and the Warsaw team's own record is the smaller part of it. Checks of the two identifiable clients found no mention of either firm on their own sites.

Finally, Clutch and Tracxn both record the founding year as 2017; the register records the company's entry on 23 April 2018.

## How was this profile researched?

This profile began as sponsored subject matter and was then reported as news. Ten independent research passes checked the company's claims against sources it does not control: the Polish National Court Register and its aggregators, the Financial Times and Statista FT1000 datasets, Deloitte's published Fast 50 and Fast 500 reports, Clutch's live review profile, LinkedIn, M&A trackers including Tracxn and PitchBook, deal-party records from Canaccord Genuity and Choate Hall & Stewart, the MAD Landscape PDFs, client-side channels, and Poland's official court gazette.

Every claim carries one of four labels. **Verified** means at least one independent source confirms it. **Self-reported** means the only evidence is material the company or its parent controls. **Contradicted** and **not found** mean independent checking returned the opposite, or nothing at all. Company marketing cannot upgrade a verdict; only third-party citations or formal publications can, and the conclusions in this piece follow the cited data in both directions. Addepto was invited to review the draft and submit documentary evidence, and any change that survives that process will be logged under our corrections policy.
